I have got to stop sleeping late. I mean early. I mean, in the morning — you get what I mean.
Well at least I’ve got no classes that I need to be early for… yet.
I went to UP to get my recommendation letter from Sir Alex Maximo, who was kind enough to write me one even though I knew he was busy as hell — thank you, sir.
It has been a long time since I sat in one of his classes. And let me tell you — it’s always interesting how you get to think over certain viewpoints that you don’t regularly think about. Like how the blogosphere is changing.
Imho, it caters more to New Media Marketing than it does expression of free speech. These days, it’s not even a venue for intellectual discourse anymore. (Oh no I’m not promoting HIVE in this blog post)
Think about it — why is it that blogger events regarding product endorsements of every kind are more numerous than the ones where we get to tackle important issues? Or maybe I just haven’t been attending those kinds of events all too often. Tee hee.
Which reminds me! I still have to think about what I’m going to wear for the event later. See you there?

Looky what I got in the mail today! Oh btw, Thea, you got yours in the mail too! It’s in the computer room. I just forgot to hand it to you. Hee. Sisterly love and all.
This Friday will be Clear’s Halloween party and we were instructed to go in our sexy black. That, and it’s some sort of Dance Party (says so in the invite) Hmm… At the very least, it’s free! :”>
I have to save up money for Japan. Because if I don’t get the scholarship for the living expenses blah, I’m basically screwed. Screwed up for real. That’s around 80,000 yen a month. HAHAHA.
Is that CD what I think it is? Another press release?

So who among you are going?

I was doing my job bloghopping around sanriotown.com, when I chanced upon Mrs. Awesome Planet’s blog post about wanting to win a Moleskine notebook. So I ended up in Wifely Steps, wherein the blogger is giving readers a chance to win a Moleskine notebook — and we all know how expensive one is.
But then the contest is over, the deadline was yesterday and I just found out about it today. So maybe some kind soul might be willing enough to dish out around a thousand bucks on a notebook for me. HAHAHA. I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Srzly, I’m kidding. Please don’t. The guilt will kill me :”>
As you all know, I recently got a scholarship to Japan. A stay which will last a year — if everything goes according to plan, that is. We’ve actually started planning it out — buying extra clothes (underwear included), extra supplies, and such, for my stay. Since my sister and I share a lot of stuff, we need to buy extras now that I might be leaving. I like thinking positive here. So let’s just say that I’m going anyway. Hee.
So yeah. Ever since I was young, one of the things that never fails to make me happy are the simple gifts — a ballpen, a notebook. You can never have too many notebooks, I tell ya! They’re so useful.
And lovely notebooks need to be used for lovely occasions and experiences.
What better way to document your travels than by writing it all in a notebook?
Even Steve from Blue’s Clues write down his clues in a notebook! So you can just imagine how notebooks facilitate thought — awesome thoughts about solving mysteries! BOO YA!
Am I still making sense here?

Truth be told, I dunno why I put off blogging about this. Maybe the mess in the house just reminded me that I need to put this away to a safe place. And doing that would mean that I might not be seeing it for a long time. So before I send it off to some safe place, I took a picture of it first.
Someone wrote Tiffy in different colored pens and made out Hello Kitty’s face :”> Awesome, right? Thousands of Tiffy’s made this particular kitty’s face!
Isn’t she adorable?
It was a late birthday gift — I got it a few days after my birthday — THANK YOU.

I went to the office yesterday to visit my dear sweet Hello Kitty who the boss held captive by using Kuromi as her sidekick!
True story.
Anywhooo, big boss wasn’t in that day so the little mice went out and played! And I got to be a mouse too :”>

I had lunch with CoKho at Terriyaki Boy at Galleria. YUM FOOD. Tofuuuuuu.

Thank you ♥ I love you ♥
The office updates:
1. Pete got a new pet :”> Probably given to him by one of our bosses. COUGHCOUGH

2. I finally met Gino! I first met him on Plurk when I plurked about moderating sanriotown.com and he went, “You work for OB?” Boo ya.

3. Office mates who got sent to Hong Kong are now baaaack! THEY’RE BACK! And got themselves relocated somewhere else in the office!

4. Ernest is no longer detained by the customs people. Although he’s still under suspicion of having an affair with one of our big boss ROFL. And he says, “SHE’S OLD ENOUGH TO BE MY MOM — although I didn’t tell her that.”

5. Some people remain the same! Teehee!

6. Others are forever glued in front of their computers testing games for work. ENVY HIM.

7. And still others are about to finish their masters even though they’re only a year older than you ._.

CAN I HAS VISIT AGAIN SOMETIME? Plskthx.

It looks like it’s going to be fun! Contact me for a ticket (200Php) at 0923-2657212.
Yes I’m posting my number online. I am not scared of stalkers. Teeheeee.
You don’t have to come in costume but it might be fun-er!
I wasn’t really planning on going to the event. This day was supposed to be for meeting up with Geoff to talk about HIVE since it’s about to get published and all. But then he texted me the day before to ask Jayvee if he wanted to have coffee with us as well (YES I STILL OWE YOU A CUPPA COFFEE!) and Mr. BlogBank replied that he can meet us in the bloggers event today and that, “I’m bringing my dog!”
Commuting to places I’ve never commuted to before = disaster for Tiffy.
First blooper would be reading Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere while riding the MRT with my iPod on loud. After a few stations, I started panicking — I THINK I MISSED MY STOP. Turned out I didn’t. Well, good thing I turned my iPod off and stopped reading anyway, cause the announcement over the MRT was messed up — announcing that we’ve arrived at Buendia station when, in fact, we’ve arrived at Ayala.
And don’t get me started with the bus drivers who didn’t know where the bus stop to Ayala was! I ended up calling up Bong more than five times today, asking for directions.

So I finally got there. PLSKTHX!

Outdoor games? I was already perspiring from the commute. But then I saw all my other blogger friends and it was all good.
For one thing, I’ve never talked to byahilo.com before and I figured that they were wary of letting people into their group; but then as soon as he said hi while smiling his shy smile, I WAS HOOKED :”>
And then… THE GAMES! THE GAMES!
Tumbang preso, piko, patintero, Chinese garter, sungka, sipa, and lakad lata. Teehee! I missed playing these old-school games. Although I’ve never really tried sipa and I don’t ever want to try again. You’d be laughing, too, if you saw me fumble.

Oh! And if you were at the event, you wouldn’t miss this bossy guy! Coughtheguywiththecameracough. He was ordering people around. Ish. Like the time he called me and Bong to play sungka for the camera. That time, we were talking to someone from Geiser Maclang. He all but frowned at us for not going to where he pointed.

Or the time they were playing patintero and he was shouting for them to let the guy through.
Well of course we’re all supposed to humor you because you’ve got a camera and you shout instructions at us, direk! ;D
All in all, it was a happy day. I got to meet with HIVE and a lot of the other bloggers. Honda Fernandez, the doggie, turned out to be a really behaved dog who’d sleep on the floor of Coffee Bean while waiting for his “dad” to finish with his meeting.
Tee hee.
And then after, I got to have dinner with my mom and sis!

Guess who finished the Uni?

Yes, yes, I have.
Why?
Because for one, I didn’t want to keep my old blogspot blog. Weirdly enough, I made it when I was in… high school. So you can just imagine how pea-brained I was back then. Who puts a dash in their URL?
Even Jester had half the mind to make the move to jesterinexile.blogspot.com!
Plus the fact that I don’t really love amethysts. So why be an amethyst lover, right?
Besides, when I told Ozy that I was moving, he said, “Yay!”
And that was enough.
Second, I wanted a tiffy.somethingwhatever.com blog address. And since, not surprisingly, that URL is taken elsewhere, I checked in here and voila! Easy on the memory, no?
And lastly, if the exchange student thing is pushing through, I plan on taking a leave from work. Permanent or otherwise. And truly — sanriotown blogs have too long a URL. http://blog.sanriotown.com/amethyst_lover:kuririnmail.com/, anyone? Btw, I made that email address when I was 12. So shoot me.
Okaaaaaaay.
So… What do you think?
