The New Bridge

First day of school = seeing old new faces. Old because you’ve known them for so long; new because sembreak’s over and some of em did something to un-bore themselves. 

Gambling is prohibited in school. More precisely — cards are. So our love of bridge has been replaced! 

 By mahjong.

Good Bye, Freedom

Sembreak’s about to end! :c And it’s not all that boo hoo since we were able to accomplish a lot of things.

Like… Spring cleaning for one! I got to see all my old notes and books, which I immediately chucked to the scratch paper box thing (we have two mounds of “scratch papers”). All except… this one:

My old Chinese history notebook.

Nyawr nyawr nyawr. See my writing? So pretty noh?

Oh fine, I’m kidding.

And of course, reading books. Which is a bit disappointing because aside from several hundred pages of Breaking Dawn, Wicked, and Les Miserables, I was only really just able to finish one book: Neverwhere.

P.S. I was going to rant about enlistment but then, decided against it. We iskolar ng bayan know how bad it is. We don’t need reminding. HAHA.

Art’s Cream Gallery

After going to the cemetery and lighting some incense and waiting for the candles to burn, my spoiled little sister urged my mom to take us to RP Manila for this ice cream place that she has been raving about. They’ve got flavors like Bailey’s and Kahlua. Oh no — and here I was swearing off alcohol. I even texted nondrinking buddy, Acee, if this would count! 

We ordered the 12 scoops thing for 350 Php. Sister chose the flavors for us. After all, she was the one who wanted it.

If you know me well, you’d know that my favorite ice cream flavor is green tea. 

So I was looking for my green tea and I couldn’t find it! So Thea got up to ask the guy. And he forgot to scoop it in! NYA.

The three of us can barely finish it off. Half way through, I gave up on the ice cream and mom started singing, “Don’t give up on us, baby…” knowing full well how much of a Zsa Zsa Padilla fan I am (of that one album, anyway). 

Oh! And keep clear of the coffee unless you want your coffee strong! 

Nursing a hangover

Bites. 

Seriously. 

I remember all the times that I would drink Friday night. And then having to remember the times I needed to get to Philcoa Mcdo by 8 to meet with my groupmates for Psych 118 field work.

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY HUMPS THERE ARE IN UPd? 

Or how when the LRT stops, the whole train lurches and your head lurches with it? 

I did a bit of research and it said that the best cure for hangovers is time. Oh man. 

So yeah — that’s mostly what I did. Sleep the time away. 

At least I got to rest, right?

So yeah. I’m swearing off drinking before it starts becoming a problem. Lol. Well, it’s not a problem now cause I’m not a regular drinker. But when I drink — man, oh man. So yuh. I know you’re gonna say, “That’s what they all say.” But hey, it might actually do me a world of good — this discipline :’>

Clear Halloween Party

If you didn’t go to the Clear party last night, lemme just call you this — WHATTA LOSER! It was fun with a capital F. I ended up spending last night hanging out with my sister, Alex, Osmond, Jester, Bob, and a lot of other bloggers.

I was also surprised to see Meg there! I was able to play badminton with her during the Exceladon sportsfest last time. She was with Christa, who was, surprisingly, Tita Jane’s daughter! The world just got a helluva lot smaller. Turns out, Ozy’s friends with them too! LOL.
