Japanese Food Test Run

Monday, March 9, 2009

It’s actually pretty bothersome thinking up of title for posts. Better just leave it blank, no? Since I’ll be leaving for Japan in around three weeks time, I best made use of the time left to hang around with friends.

Hershey picked me up at around a little past 8 yesterday to prepare for lunch at Aaron’s house. We first passed by New Hatchin to buy this sushi boat thing and some sushi as well. New Hatchin is this small Japanese supermarket place where they sell Japanese food and groceries. Since they ran out of salmon, we dropped by Legaspi Market to check out the booths and to see if they’re selling any.

We’re in luck.

So then we went back to New Hatchin to have the sushi cut and then waited around for it.

I SAW HELLO KITTY PASTA! !@#!#%$! And so we left New Hatchin.

Okay. So then lunch. Take note that I did not participate in any of the food preparations — I leave that up to Hershey!

And lastly, coconut sherbet!

I was actually thinking of posting this up at ManilaFoodistas but then it got me thinking that if I post this there, I would have to go in depth regarding preparations and such. And since it’s OMG Kawaii Bento catering thing (although this one’s a test run), I decided against posting it there. Oh well! :> More for this blog!

Emily: LOLOL. But at least I got your appetite going! Heee. Maybe not, though! It’s expensive! :o 200+ pesos for 3 small bundles of angel hair pasta (Or I THINK it’s angel hair)!

Where’s New Hatchin? The idea of overdosing on sashimi sounds appealing to me.
