The other day, I went to Tennozan Mountain with Miggy and the people from his laboratory. Mount Tennozan is a mountain on the Kyoto-Osaka border where a battle was fought between Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Akechi Mitsuhide. Along the way, there were displays of the scenes from the war with short English summaries of what happened.
When we reached the top, we all had lunch — mostly food we bought from the konbini. There was a guy there whose mother cooked bamboo shoot rice, and he went about sharing it with everyone. It had a mild flavor so it wasn’t really my type. I’m used to stronger flavors when I eat bamboo shoot.
I miss my dad’s cooking :c
(Yes, my dad cooks. He used to do all the cooking while mom did everything else :3)
Check out my Flickr photostream!
The places I go to are so photogenic! XD
Oh! My mom went through a loves-to-experiment stage :l It wasn’t pretty. It was mostly fruit shakes, though!
Posted by tiffy at May 5, 2009, 8:40 amHey tiffy! I saw all your pictures in flickr too! Nice! Did you set the camera resolution to very high? Oh is your mom visiting you?
Posted by tings at May 8, 2009, 3:08 pmNo, the camera resolution is at the default setting
I love it! :>
Posted by tiffy at May 8, 2009, 11:00 pmMom is not visiting me yet! I dunno when she will, though!

I love how there seems to be a photo op wherever you go. Awesomeness!
No Filipino restaurants in the area? My dad cooks a lot too, when my mom is at work. He loves to “experiment” though so you never know what comes out of the pan. Hahaha.
