Tired but happy

So I got a new student today! He works for the number 1 company in the world that makes glass. I dunno how that goes but after he told me stuff about himself and what he wanted to learn, he asked me to name my price! NYAAAAAAA. In the website, I wrote that I charge 1,500 yen an hour. But then I remember Mae telling me that the normal rate is 3,000 yen. But then I didn’t know what to do. So I just made it 2,000 yen — the same rate as Tatsuya. I just feel guilty that I mostly just listen to them speak English. Correct their grammar here and there. And that’s it.

I think I should’ve charged more XD Made it 2,500 or something! Oh well!

And remember I charge only 500 yen for a trial lesson? Well, he paid me 3,000 yen for an hour and a half of just talking. Hee. I was telling him that it was all right — he only had to pay me 500 yen. But he told me that he earned a lot from his job and that it was nothing. EEP.

Okay. I need to study now! Ta-ta!

OK, Imma need to move to Japan and start tutoring people too! :P I just have to learn Japanese first, right?

Posted by anne at June 1, 2009, 12:10 am

Nah! You don’t actually need to know how to speak Japanese ;D

*stares* OKAY IM MOVING TO JAPAN TOO!! lolz! haha But they do have a very high standard of living right? Or is that pay enough to sustain a person?

You’re really LUCKY tiff! Wish I could go to Japan… wish I could… i mean whoa, 2000 yen? 1000php an hour right? WHOA!

Posted by tiff k at June 1, 2009, 11:43 am

Oh oh oh. Mind you — not everyone gets lucky. All of us exchange students use the same website but not all of us get students. Some of us don’t get any.

But yeah :) 1k php an hour!

Dear Thea, I’m not here to earn money. I’m here to travel and experience Japan. And to learn Japanese. I realized how unhappy it made me thinking na dapat ako magtrabaho. Magttrabaho pa rin pero pag ayaw ko, I don’t think I will. :( (Burn out na eh noh. Hihi.) NYAAAAAAAA. Meron nga ata! Pero I haven’t seen it!!!!

Posted by tiffy at June 1, 2009, 10:03 pm

Tings: It was pure luck! They got me even before they had my trial lesson. Or they did and they kept me anyway. LOOOOOOOOL. YOU’RE THE RICH ONE BETWEEN THE TWO OF US! ._. Rich teacher teaching at a rich school! Grawr! XDDD

Stalking Tiffy

Tiffany Chua a student from UP diliman, studying so she can learn how to read your mind. Who loves yellow and orange, and has a blatant love affair with Hello Kitty. Oh! And she also loves wasabi -- which disgust people.

And while she loves the study of Psychology, she's currently an exchange student at Nagoya Gakuin University so that she can learn how to watch Japanese dramas without the subtitles.
