Just a quick update. They had a fireworks display somewhere yesterday! I think it was at Jingu Nishi. Anyway, we went to Shirotori Garden and sat around to watch it. That has to be the loooooooongest fireworks display I’ve ever seen! It went on for about an hour (more than, I think). Although the Canadians said that there are longer ones. Cool.
Today, I had a couple of students. So that’s money for food. Went to the Tokugawa Museum and looked at all the neat Japanese stuff. Naoto helped me read something on the display that’s in Japanese (with a lot of kanji words in it).
Oh! And I bought an electronic dictionary yesterday! Hee. It’s so cool cause it just is! I’ll explain more if I have the time!

Well, of course that’s not the only reason that you should. But hey — it’s a social networking site made by Filipinos.
It’s in its early stages though! So nothing fancy.
I actually really hope that they just keep on improving it.
And yes, I was/am a beta tester of SandBox which is why I’m plugging it.

Been too lazy to tell you guys about the books that I’ve been reading!
Just wanted to toss that in. I’ve been really bothered by how much the students in my school just really get in your way. Ugh. This one time, the hallway was blocked and it was clear that I was going to pass. AND THEY DIDN’T EVEN MOVE.
Blargh.
Just slept the whole afternoon away today. Thanks to Wenwen for letting me sleep in her spare bed.
And then there was class. And then running for a bit in the gym. I used to be able to jog/run/blah for 25 minutes straight. But now, I can’t even get past 10 min :c
Sadness.
I got a new student today. We just talked in English for 2 and a half hours and after, he gave me 5,000 yen! It was my first time meeting with this particular guy. So technically, 500 yen for the first hour (trial lesson), and then 1,500 for the next succeeding ones.
I told him that he didn’t need to pay me that much but he told me that I don’t need to give him a discounted price cause he’s willing to pay. I kept saying thank you — I was so shocked!
I wanted to work out today but I was so hungry and I got back to school at 6 already :c
Tomorrow!
Hyper. I was hyper the whole day.
Even though I lacked sleep. We had a long exam today that I didn’t even study for. I was just so damn tired. So damn tired ALL THE FREAKING TIME. So I’m just gonna out and quit being tired.
I didn’t even do the culture homework cause I couldn’t find it. Never mind that I’m not listening to the guy AT ALL. I promise to be a good student starting tomorrow. If I don’t become one, I’m so gonna tell you guys!
So I was playing badminton — I won two of my games. That’s good, methinks. And the teacher props down in front of me and starts telling me about the promo that this airline has. Going to Singapore for 30,000 something yen. Yep. That cheap! Roundtrip with hotel reservations. His wife flew to Singapore this morning and he has to stick around because he had classes to teach. During the time that he was telling me that, I was keeping score of the game between Matt and Arvi. Well duh, I was also thinking — Why the hell is he telling me this? Practicing his English? Oh well. I’ll never know.
We had new conversation partners (Japanese people who help us improve our Japanese by talking to us) btw! I wasn’t able to meet my new partner cause she (he? I dunno but I’m thinking it’s a she cause most of them are girls) had to go to the hospital — I don’t know why though. So I got to talking with Hiro instead. Apparently, I already met him before — during the Ateneo visit thing!
I’m currently listening to NU107.5 cause it’s URock tonight. Dalandan Soda will be playing on air (well, a lot of other college bands are playing too! And they’re actually pretty good!)
