Nobody but you

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Let’s see. Watched City of God, read a bit of manga — Shinobi Life, Maid sama, and then read some friends’ blogs.

I’m just glad that I get to waste a couple of days sometimes. Tomorrow, I start being serious again :]

Hey friends, I miss you. Maybe I’m feeling differently than before because I’m not around them. You know what I mean?

Lays

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

We had an earthquake here at around 5 in the morning. Magnitude was 4, I heard. It was 6.6 in Shizuoka. Anyway, I was supposed to meet with Arvi and Jeremy at 8:30 at Kanayama Station cause he’s going back to Canada. I got there at 8:20 and they got to the station at 9:20. Pfft. So I left Kanayama Station at around 9:21 to meet with Kenji at around 9:30. I got there at around 9:40. (The Japanese are particular about their time, trust me.)

I got to try out glass blowing. I tried it out with Kenji and his family (except Reiko and Yuuka — Yuuka got scared). Making a cup costs ¥3,200. Nyaa. And then we had lunch at the Sakae TV Tower. A ¥3,000 lunch set. Nyaaaa. I feel so indebted to them. Although I did tell him that I would show them around if they ever come to the Philippines.

And then I went to my interview. This interview was so much better than yesterday’s. I was 30 min early for this interview and the guy who interviewed me was the same age as I. And he was perpetually smiling. I liked the interview. He seemed really nice! Although he told me that I have to wait until Sunday to find out if I’m going to get hired.

Gotta get get

Monday, August 10, 2009

I was 1-2 minutes late for my interview this morning. Which was really disappointing cause I planned it all out. Nagoya Station is just too far from Hirabari Station :c I miscalculated the time. Oh well.

The lady sounded as if she’s done one too many interviews. Which basically sucks. Plus, I was sweating so bad cause I ran all the way from the station.

Anyway, to make myself feel better (because I really felt bad), I bought a necklace, a pair of high-heeled boots, and a couple of shirts. So all in all I spent around ¥3500 today. The pair of boots cost me ¥1990 — that’s pretty cheap. And the shirts were on an 80% discount. It was their summer sale! Yay.

And because I spent so much, I didn’t go to yakiniku — that would cost me ¥2800.

Oh! And I donated blood for the fifth time (first time here in Japan). And let me tell you — their blood donation centers are WAY COOL. You can drink and eat as much as you want. Hee. Plus, they have books and a television in their lounge.

I got a card too! And it tells me when I can donate next. And then a point card.

Open Campus

Saturday, August 8, 2009

We had our open campus today at Nagoya Gakuin University. Since Shibata先生 asked me to make a poster for UP, I stole some photos from Joseph and haphazardly made this. Whoops? Anyway, we got a free shirt, lunch, and a drink. Today’s a good day.

Sunrise

Monday, August 3, 2009

So I was supposed to meet with Mitch, my sister’s close friend, at Nihon Fukushi University. And I didn’t know that they had another campus FAR AWAY. Rawr. It cost me ¥950 to go there. And then another ¥950 on the way back. But it was so much fun. Well, fun hanging out with Mitch and making a new friend. I wish I can participate in a homestay :c

I got peanut butter from mother dearest. Homemade too! Her patient made it. Yay.

That, and several other things. Like earrings! I miss my earrings. Hee.
